Farewell President Ilves
It's the end of an era. Today is President Ilves' last day in office. During the past ten years President Ilves has made a substantial contribution to the development and progress of the Estonian nation. He will be remembered for many things but for the former exiled Estonian community who lives abroad, he is the man who returned to the homeland and helped rebuild Estonia. In many ways President Ilves inspired Estonians to go back to their roots and feel proud of their country. Estonia may have turbulent past but we have proven to the world that with determination, perseverance and hard work we can accomplish anything!

Yesterday the new portrait of President Ilves was unveiled.
Not a traditional portrait but a symbol of his legacy.
The official portrait of Toomas Hendrick Ilves to hang in the Riigikogu.
