Estonia once again tops the Environmental Performance Index

Estonia is ranked as the cleanest country in the world for 2026, followed closely by Luxembourg and Germany. This is based on the latest Environmental Performance Index (EPI), which scores nations on clean air, waste management, and ecosystem health. By cutting emissions, scaling renewable energy, and accelerating clean‑tech innovation, Estonia demonstrates that ambitious climate action can be both strategic and achievable.

The climate crisis is not only an environmental challenge, it is a growing security threat that will shape geopolitics, economic stability, and global resilience. Long‑term security requires diversified energy sources, sustained investment in sustainability, and deeper international cooperation. These are the foundations of a resilient and secure future.
